Kommenteringsrunden gikk fra 18. januar 2021 til 14. mars 2021

Andre kommenteringsrunde er en kombinert ekspert- og myndighetskommentering. I tillegg til utkast av alle kapitler og annekser med mer, legges også utkastet til sammendraget for beslutningstakere ved for første gang.

Miljødirektoratet, som Norges knutepunkt til FNs klimapanel, koordinerer og sammenstiller kommentarer fra norske myndighetsorganer. I tillegg tilrettelegger Miljødirektoratet for kommentering fra andre eksperter.

Hovedformålet med kommenteringsrunden er å sikre at innholdet i rapporten er korrekt og balansert, samt at hovedfunnene i rapporten er klart og forståelig beskrevet og i henhold til disposisjonen og FNs klimapanels (IPCC) prosedyrer.

Det er viktig at kommentarer er korte og lett forståelige

Dersom det finnes relevant faglitteratur som foreløpig ikke er omtalt i utkastet, men som er publisert eller under publisering, er det også fint om det meldes fra om dette i kommentarene. 

Miljødirektoratet oppfordrer eksperter og myndigheter i Norge til å delta i kommenteringsrunden. 

Sende ekspertkommentarer direkte til FNs klimapanel

Kommenteringsrunden for eksperter varte fra 18. januar 2021 til og med 14. mars 2021.

Bidragene fra eksperter utenfor myndighetsorganer sendes direkte til FNs klimapanel som beskrevet på deres nettside.

Miljødirektoratet tar gjerne imot kopi av kommentarene som sendes inn direkte, slik at vi har oversikt over hvilke deler av rapporten som er kommentert.

Det er også mulig å sende kommentarer til oss innen 4. mars, som da vil fungere som innspill til Norges kommentarer til FNs klimapanel. Det er imidlertid viktig at det framgår i oversendelsen om slike kommentarer er sendt til FNs klimapanel eller ikke, for å unngå duplisering.

For myndigheter: Send innspill til myndighetskommentering via Miljødirektoratet

Fristen for å sende innspill til Miljødirektoratet var 4. mars 2021 klokken 23:59 (GMT+1).

Miljødirektoratet, som Norges knutepunkt til FNs klimapanel, koordinerer og sammenstiller kommentarer fra norske myndighetsorganer.

FNs klimapanel har innskjerpet sine rutiner når det gjelder distribusjon av rapportutkast. Derfor distribueres ikke materialet automatisk fra oss.

Deadlines for the Government and Expert Review of the Working Group III contribution to the AR6

The work with the IPCCs Sixth Assessment Report is well under way. The Second Order Draft (SOD) is open for government and expert review from 18 January to 14 March.

In addition to all chapters and annexes etc., the first order draft of the Summary for policymakers is available for commenting.

The purpose of the review is to ensure that the content in the report is correct and balanced, and that the main findings are clearly described according to the scope and IPCC's procedures. 

Comments should be short and easy to understand. If you are aware of relevant, published or soon to be published, literature that is currently not referred to in the draft, please mention this in the comments.

The Norwegian Environment Agency encourages experts and authorities in Norway to participate in the review.

Send expert comments directly to the IPCC

Experts should send their comments directly to the IPCC as described on the review web page. We are happy to receive a copy of those comments, to see which parts of the report that has been commented.

It is also possible to send comments to the Norwegian Environment Agency before 4 March 23:59 (GMT+1). They will act as input to Norway's comments to the IPCC. In this case it must be made clear whether comments have already been sent to the IPCC in order to avoid duplication.

Send government contributions to the Norwegian Environment Agency

The Norwegian Environment Agency, as Focal Point for the IPCC in Norway, coordinates government contributions. The deadline for submitting input to the Norwegian Environment Agency is 4 March at 23.59 (GMT+1).

IPCC has tightened its routines when it comes to distributing drafts of their reports. Therefore, the material is not automatically distributed from the Norwegian Environment Agency.
