Socio-economic considerations of regulating Dechlorane Plus under the Stockholm Convention

This report was prepared to support ongoing discussions for a global restriction on the flame retardant Dechlorane Plus (DP).

The report has been carried out in parallel with Norway's Annex XV restriction proposal for DP under REACH (submitted to ECHA in April 2021), using the same consultant to analyse the socio-economic consequences of a European and a global restriction on DP, respectively.

The report includes information from a targeted stakeholder consultation, on production and use, potential alternatives, emissions and releases, and provides information in line with Annex F on the socio-economic considerations of a global restriction on DP under the Stockholm Convention.
