Mikronor 2025: Monitoring of microplastics in the Norwegian environment

This report shows results from the monitoring program for microplastics in the Norwegian environment in 2025.

The Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA), acting on behalf of the Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA, Miljødirektoratet), with support from the from the Climate and Environmental Research Institute NILU, carried out quantitative and qualitative determination of microplastics in samples from the Norwegian environment for the fifth round/year of the national microplastic monitoring programme “Microplastic monitoring 2024-2025”
